Our formulas are rooted in long-standing traditional herbal practice, with raw materials carefully reviewed for quality, sustainability and suitability for use in dietary supplements. Depending on the product, our formulas are available in grass-fed bovine gelatin capsules, or vegan tablets and powders.

We use the following quality practices to support product safety and consistency
Carefully reviewed ingredients: We carefully review our raw materials for identity, quality, sustainability and suitability for use in dietary supplements. Our formulas are rooted in long-standing traditional herbal practice, but our ingredient choices are guided by modern safety expectations. We do not use endangered, restricted or questionable ingredients that fall outside our strict safety, quality and sourcing standards.
GMP-certified manufacturing: Our manufacturing facility follows Good Manufacturing Practices and is GMP-certified by an independent certification body. GMP standards help ensure that products are manufactured, tested, packaged and documented under controlled quality procedures. Dietary supplement manufacturers are also required to follow manufacturing regulations enforced by the FDA. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements, but these standards help support product safety, quality and consistency.
Clear label cautions: Product labels include cautions and contraindications where applicable, including considerations related to prescription medications, pregnancy, nursing, medical conditions or other safety concerns. If you have specific health questions, take medication, are pregnant or nursing, or are managing a medical condition, we recommend checking with a qualified healthcare professional when possible before use.
Non-GMO documentation for at-risk ingredients: Most of our raw materials are not considered at risk for GMO sourcing. For at-risk ingredients, we request non-GMO documentation from suppliers.
Minimal necessary excipients: We use only the necessary “other ingredients” and require those materials to meet our strict quality standards. Corn starch is used as a binder to help reduce moisture content and clumping. We use the minimal amount needed, and our corn starch is non-GMO and imported from Belgium.
Grass-fed bovine gelatin capsules: Our capsules are made from grass-fed, non-GMO bovine gelatin.
Low magnesium stearate tablet content: Our tablets contain less than 0.1% magnesium stearate, used as a hardener to help limit tablet breakage.
Raw material identity testing: Before production, raw materials are examined and qualified using testing methods such as TLC identification and HPLC quantitative analysis, as appropriate.
Additional contaminant testing: After confirming ingredient identity, materials undergo additional quality review, which may include microbial examination, plasticizer inspection, heavy metal testing, residual pesticide testing, aflatoxin testing, aristolochic acid testing and sulfur dioxide testing, according to the material and applicable specifications.
In-process quality control: After cooking, decoction/extraction and fluid-bed granulation, formulas undergo additional quality control checks and are tested again according to our finished-product specifications.
Batch tracking: After automated packaging, each bottle is marked with a batch number, manufacturing date and expiration date.
Final quality assurance review: A final quality assurance review is completed. Bottles are randomly selected for visual inspection and additional testing according to our quality procedures. If a batch does not meet our strict quality specifications, it is rejected.
